If TikTok were to be banned in your region, what social media platform would you most likely switch to?
100% Instagram. Instagram is huge. In the business space and the creator space, Instagram is so incredibly important. The Instagram algorithm is a bit different than TikTok's, so people would have to adjust. However, the content is largely the same.
Instagram also has great community features like broadcast channels, interactive stories, and DM notes, so I think it's where people will flock. However, some people may go to YouTube and Pinterest if they want lifestyle content too.

I don't use TikTok at all, and I'd still use Shorts anyway.

Because I already watch those, TikTok feels kinda...uh...I don't know...not great or appropriate? Please don't give me any death threats for this. I once heard someone received a number of death threats for posting something unpopular. 😰

It’s basically the same as TikTok, and I live in Hong Kong, so TikTok is already banned, and I realised that YouTube shorts is basically the same

If TikTok goes down, I’m leaning toward Instagram Reels or YouTube Shorts — both have solid reach and creative tools. Curious to see where the community migrates!
