Watch Order for the Fate/stay night Series

PDF download Download Article
  1. Most fans agree that the original Fate/stay night (2006) is the best place to begin for all of Fate and that you should watch the rest in linear narrative order (except for Fate/Zero, which is technically a prequel, but most people think there are too many spoilers if you watch it first). The recommended watch order for Fate/stay night is:
    • Fate/stay night (2006)
    • Fate/stay night: Unlimited Blade Works (2014)
    • Fate/stay night [Heaven’s Feel] I. presage flower (2017)

    • Fate/stay night [Heaven’s Feel] III. spring song (2020)
    • Fate/Zero (2011)[11]
    • Note: We recommend watching all of the Fate/stay night series before diving into Fate/Grand Order.

Where to Stream the Fate Anime Series

PDF download Download Article
  1. It would be super convenient if all the Fate-related content was available to stream on the same platform, but alas, that’s currently not the case. Maybe one day! You shouldn’t have to do too much maneuvering to see the key canon content, though. Here’s where to watch:
    • On Crunchyroll: Grand Order, Fate/Zero, Unlimited Blade Works, Heaven's Feel
    • On Amazon Prime Video or Apple TV: Fate/stay night original series
    • Note: This availability is current for 2026. The streaming rights eventually expire, though, and platforms may not renew (which means availability can change). Crunchyroll is generally the best place to start since it’s an anime-specific platform.
