    • Change mode to "Grayscale".
    • Go to the "Channels" palette.
    • Select "Load Channel" as Selection. This will select the background.
    • Go to the "Layers" palette.

    • Press Ctrl+D to deselect the background.
    • Change Mode to "RGB Color".
    • Add "Solid Color" adjustment layer.
