Do Shopkins sell for anything?

PDF download Download Article
  1. Few Shopkins are really worth much, except for rare and early releases. For the most part, individual Shopkins don’t sell for a whole lot; most toys sell between $0.50 to $2 each. However, very rare Shopkins, like Limited Edition releases, and Shopkins released between Season 1 and 3, can be worth quite a bit. These Shopkins are highly sought after by collectors, and some people are willing to buy them for over $100!
    • Most people don’t sell Shopkins individually, though. Instead, they sell their toys in bulk. Large collections can sell for over $100.
    • There isn’t a huge group of Shopkins collectors, which is why prices don’t usually go that high.
    • Most people sell their Shopkins on eBay or Mercari. There’s also a thriving community of Shopkins collectors on Reddit (r/Shopkins) who buy and sell the toys.

How to Tell if Shopkins Are Valuable

PDF download Download Article
  1. 1
Rarity Shopkins have several rarity types: Common, Rare, Ultra Rare, Exclusive, Special Edition, and Limited Edition. Limited Edition Shopkins are generally the rarest and most valuable, since only a few hundred to thousands were made worldwide. They also come in special variations with different finishes (metallic, glitter, etc.) and colors.[12]
    • Most Shopkins come with tags that display their rarity type.
    • There are also collector lists online that list each Shopkins’ rarity type.
  2. 2
Season Shopkins were released in “seasons,” and there are 17 Seasons total.[13] In general, toys released in earlier Seasons are more valuable than toys released in later Seasons. For instance, Shopkins from Season 1 through 3 are the most sought after, while Shopkins from Season 12 and on aren’t as highly prized.
    • Check which Season your Shopkins are from using the Shopkins Wiki site, or consult a collector’s list.
  3. 3
Condition Like most collectibles, Shopkins are considered more valuable if they’re in excellent condition. Brand new and unopened toys typically sell for the most, while clean and unmarked toys sell well. You’re unlikely to get much for any toys that are broken, scratched, or dirty (unless they’re a very rare, early Season release).
  4. 4
Accessories Many Shopkins come with tags, themed boxes, or other accessories that help add to their value when you’re selling them. For instance, you definitely need to include the tag that comes with a Limited Edition Shopkins, as it lists your particular Shopkins’ number out of how many were released (e.g., 46 out of 100).
