VeterinarianThere's no easy answer to this one. It's confusing to a dog if they're allowed to run on the grass in the park, but banned from the lawn, which makes training hard. You are most likely to succeed if you give the dog an interesting and comfortable place where he is allowed. For example, provide an area away from the grass where the dog is allowed and encouraged to dig. Otherwise, it's down to fencing to keep the dog off.
