Looms can be used to make Silk and other clothing items in Terraria. If you have a sawmill, you'll just need 12 wood blocks to craft it. If you don't have a sawmill, you'll need to make a few crafting stations first. This wikiHow will show you how to craft a loom in Terraria on PC, PlayStation, Xbox, Nintendo Switch, iOS, or Android.

Things You Should Know

To make a loom in Terraria, gather 12 wood blocks and craft with a sawmill.
If you don't have a sawmill, craft it at a workbench with 1 chain, 10 wood blocks, and 2 iron bars.
Looms can sometimes be found in Underground Cabins along with other treasures.

Craft a workbench and place it down. You'll need 10 wood blocks to craft it. Use an axe on nearby trees to get wood blocks.
- You can also find work benches by looting Dungeons and Underground Cabins.
- Be sure to place down the crafting stations in a protected house to avoid enemies.

Craft a furnace and place it down. You'll need 20 stone blocks, 4 wood blocks, and 3 torches to craft it. Stone blocks can be obtained by using the pickaxe on nearby stone.

Craft an anvil and place it down. You'll need 5 iron bars or 5 lead bars to craft it.
- You can also use an anvil to craft weapons needed to beat bosses and prepare for hardmode.

- The number of Underground Cabins depends on the size of the player's world. This number is limited; rooms do not spawn again.

Looms can be used to craft Silk and vanity items. You can craft Silk using 7 cobwebs. Vanity items include robes, garments, helmets, hats, and more. Each item will require different ingredients to craft.
