Na'vi language was developed by Professor Paul Frommer for the 2009 James Cameron film "Avatar" and upcoming sequels. In the decade between films, the Na'vi language has grown significantly thanks to a digital gathering of speakers and learners.[1] This article will help you find resources and communities to begin studying the Na'vi language.

Steps

  1. 1
Visit Kelutral.org or LearnNa'vi.org. They're at: http://kelutral.org/ and https://learnnavi.org/ respectively. Here you will be able to find the most current resources and online conversations about the Na'vi language online, including dictionaries and lessons. Some helpful features from each:
  2. 2
Join active discussions on Discord. Discord is a free text and speech communication app used by the Na'vi language community to learn and teach the language, develop new resources and keep up to date with the latest news about the language.

  3. 3
Learn how to pronounce the Na'vi alphabet. Na'vi as a Second Language has an excellent video guide to learning the pronunciation of the Na'vi alphabet. The Na'vi alphabet is the building blocks of the language, so accurate pronunciation is key to speaking it well.
  4. 4
Start building sentences and practicing grammar. The key to learning any language is practice. We again recommend joining the language community at Kelutral.org or LearnNa'vi.org to have access to experienced teachers and speakers to help you improve.
