This wikiHow shows how to jailbreak your iPhone, iPad and iPod touch running iOS 10. The process varies depending on the iOS version and device model. Jailbreaking your iOS device allows you to install tweaks as well as sideload apps downloaded outside App Store. Make sure to back up your device before jailbreaking as something could go wrong during the process.

  1. The TotallyNotSpyware jailbreak is supported on 64-bit devices running iOS 10.0 to 10.3.3.[1]
    • You can check the iOS version by going to Settings -> General -> About on your device.[2]
    • 64-bit (A7 and later) devices include:
      • iPhone 5S
      • iPhone 6 and 6 Plus
      • iPhone 6S and 6S Plus
      • iPhone SE (1st generation)
      • iPhone 7 and 7 Plus
      • iPad (5th generation)
      • iPad mini 2, 3 and 4
      • iPad Air 1 and 2
      • iPad Pro 12.9 (1st and 2nd generations)
      • iPad Pro 10.5
      • iPad Pro 9.7
      • iPod touch (6th generation)

    Go to the TotallyNotSpyware website. Enter https://lukezgd.github.io/tns in the address bar on Safari, and tap Go.[1]
    • You can add the website to home screen for easy access by tapping the share icon at the bottom and tapping Add to home screen.

    Run the TotallyNotSpyware jailbreak. On the TotallyNotSpyware website, slide the slider at the bottom to run the exploit. Wait until you see the "Spyware announcement" prompt and tap noot noot. After you perform this step, your device will respring and after that it should have Zebra installed.[1]

Using Socket (32-bit)

  1. Socket jailbreak is supported on devices running iOS 10.0.1 to 10.3.4.[3]
    • You can check the iOS version by going to Settings -> General -> About on your device.[2]
    • 32-bit (A6[X]) devices include:
      • iPhone 5
      • iPhone 5C
      • iPad (4th generation)

    Download and install the necessary files. Download Socket IPA and PlumeImpactor on your computer, and install PlumeImpactor.[3]
    • If your computer is running Windows, you also need to download and install iTunes (not the Microsoft Store version).

    Plug your device into your computer. Use a USB-A to Lightning cable. Plug the Lightning end into your device and the USB-A end into your computer. Trust the connection on your computer and on your device.[3]

    Install Socket. Open PlumeImpactor and click Settings and Sign In. Enter your Apple Account details. Drag and drop the Socket IPA into the main PlumeImpactor window. Install the IPA by clicking Install.[3]

    Trust the developer. Go to Settings -> General -> Device Management -> [your Apple Account] on your device and tap Trust [your Apple Account] to trust the developer.[3]

    Run the Socket jailbreak. Open the Socket app on your device and tap Jailbreak to perform the jailbreak. After you perform this step, your device should have Zebra installed.[3]
    • If your device crashes unexpectedly and doesn’t have Zebra installed, rerun the jailbreak again until it works.
