What are Goliaths in D&D?

Goliaths are the mountain-born titans of D&D, blending giant ancestry with a fierce meritocratic culture. They are the descendants of giants and can manifest their ancestors' powers. Towering and stone-skinned, they value self-sufficiency and personal honor above all. Whether shrugging off wounds with Stone’s Endurance or scaling icy peaks, they live every day as a challenge to be conquered.

Here are the Goliath Traits in D&D:[1]

  • Ability Score: Strength score increases by 2 and Constitution score increases by 1.
  • Age: Lifespan is comparable to humans.
  • Size: Medium: 7-8 feet tall and 280-340 pounds. For carrying, pushing, dragging, and lifting capacity, increase size by one.
  • Speed: Base walking speed of 30 feet.
  • Skill: Athletics skill proficiency.
  • Endurance: Stone’s Endurance. Roll a d12 when you take damage, add your Constitution modifier to the number rolled, and subtract that number from your total damage. You must rest before you can use this trait again.
  • Resistance: Cold damage and altitude.
  • Languages: Common and Giant.
