Hey guys! I'm in a bit of a situation. My parents think I'm just nonbinary but I'm also trans and I don't know how to tell them.

Background: My parents (Very catholic mom, not really religious dad), aren't really supportive of the LGBTQ+ community and now that I've been sure for a really long time I need to come out to them. I don't know how though and I'm scared they'll judge me or yell at me or something. They have both disrespected my they/them pronouns and so I'm scared of adding on he/him pronouns as well. But they've also made it clear that they'll love me no matter what and I am just so confused about how to tell them. Have any ideas?

I came out to my family as Bisexual and they are cool with it. If you just work up the courage I have faith in you! Just a few things to know. You don't owe anyone shizz! So don't fret or the little things. If your dad is cool and fun he might respond with, 'cool' or 'ok'. If you think about coming out to your dad (and brothers!) Is gonna put you in harms way. Don't risk yourself just for acceptance. Also for your mom, if she doesn't understand it just sit down with her and explain it to her, that might help her understand more. I REALLY hoped this helped you! And let me know if it did!!

(TX2 has a short on how to come out to your parents since you like his music maybe you should watch it, idk I'm throwing ideas out there.)

Hello!
Fellow nonbinary/trans person here,
This is an important question for me to ask, do you genuinely think it's safe to come out to them? If you have already come out to them but they have treated you rudely, it might not be best to come out to them again? I just need more details on this one part about the safety. One I get that info I'll keep responding.

I think it's safe, bc like i said they said that they'd love me no matter what. I'm just worried about how'd they'd react if I told them that i was transgender. and they haven't been exactly rude abt it but they (By they I mean mostly my mom but my dad has too) have made little quips that hurt a bit. I do believe I am safe, however.

Well it's good you're safe but I'm sorry they make mean comments. Do you think you would be better off handling mean comments but being out to them, or being closeted (at least for the transgender part) but have less rude comments? I think if you really need to come out you should. You should try it. Since you are safe, the only problem is having your parents be rude about this. So if you can handle it, you should come out? I haven't actually told you how to come out yet but I'm just wondering if you can handle more mean comments.

I want to think I can handle it but I lwky want the comments to stop bc it's making my mental health go very downhill.
