If you had a good experience, I recommend tipping around $10 for a haircut. If your experience was really amazing, you could do $20. I don't like telling people they are obligated to tip, though. You should tip if your finances allow it and your experience warrants it, but tip what makes you comfortable and reflects your haircut.

When you tip for a haircut, I would say 25% is pretty fair. It always depends on how much work the person did. If it’s just like a little trim and you’re a regular client, it could be less. Or, if it was a whole transformation, go for a higher percentage, but I would say that usually 25% is fair. The main thing is just to treat your barber or hairstylist well and to keep up a good relationship. Don’t disappoint them with a low tip.

Depends where you are and how happy you are with the cut. Most people go for 15–20% if the stylist did a good job, maybe more if they really nailed it or squeezed you in last minute. If it’s a quick buzz or cleanup, 5–10% is fine. And yeah, always tip cash if you can, it actually goes to them faster.
