PDF download Download Article

There are a lot of weighty choices in the story-rich superhero adventure game Dispatch—and it’s only natural to wonder about the different outcomes! There are a few different endings in Dispatch based on Robert’s success as a dispatcher, his interactions with Invisigal, and his treatment of the team (as well as his battle with Shroud). In this detailed guide, we’ll explain each of the endings in Dispatch and how to get them…so you’ll be sure to get the ending you want!

A Quick Overview of Dispatch’s Endings

Dispatch has several endings. The “best” ending involves inspiring Invisigal to be a hero and making heroic choices as Robert, ultimately forgiving Sonar/Coupe and sparing Shroud. The “bad” ending involves taking the antihero route, failing to gain Invisigal’s trust, and ultimately killing Shroud in the final fight.

What are the endings in Dispatch?

  1. Overall, there’s a “good” (heroic) ending and a “bad” (antihero) ending based on the relationship with Invisigal and Robert’s own choices over the course of the game. However, the ending can also change depending on whether Robert romanced Blazer or Visi, and Robert’s decisions regarding Sonar or Coupe, as well as the final confrontation with Shroud.
    • Below, we’ll explain the consequences and results of each ending, as well as how you can achieve them all.

Good (Hero) Ending in Dispatch

PDF download Download Article
  1. This ending is about both Robert and Invisigal—whether Robert’s choices reflected those of a hero, and whether he managed to build trust with Invisigal as a mentor. If he succeeds, Invisigal will make a heroic choice when facing off with Shroud, ultimately taking a bullet for Robert and saving his life. This is the best ending—the one where Invisigal remains on the Z-team as a true hero. To get this ending:[1]
    • Episode 1 - Pivot
      • Pull Toxic away from the balcony (instead of dropping him).
      • Answer the reporter or leave at the end of the press event.
      • Douse Flambae with water (not alcohol).
    • Episode 2 - Onboard
      • Help Invisigal during her fight in the donut shop by completing every hack successfully.
      • Don’t tell Invisigal that you told Chase about her disobeying orders.
      • Don’t tell Blonde Blazer that Visi punched you.
    • Episode 3 - Turnover
      • Encourage Invisigal before the Jewelry Shop by telling her, “This could make the difference.”
      • Help Visi in the Jewelry Shop by completing all hacking sequences successfully.
      • Tell Blonde Blazer, “I hope so” (that you’re rooting for Invisigal).
    • Episode 4 - Restructure
      • Optional - Go to the movies with Invisigal. (This will build trust with Visi, but it isn’t necessary to get the best ending if you want to romance Blazer instead).
      • If you go to the movies with Invisigal, say “Thought we already were” [friends].
    • Episode 5 - Team Building
      • Win all of the QTE (quick time event) challenges during the bar fight.
      • Tell Chase, “Heroes don’t kill people.”
      • Tell the Z-Team that you (Robert) are Mecha Man.
    • Episode 6 - Moving Parts
      • Thank Invisigal for helping you at the party.
      • Take Invisigal’s side during the argument at the party.
      • Help Invisigal get the Astral Pulse by completing the hacking sequences.
    • Episode 7 - Retrospective
      • Don’t cut Invisigal from the team, and defend her from the rest of the group.
      • Forgive Invisigal when she tells you the truth.
      • Talk about Track Star on the news, not Invisigal.
    • Episode 8 - Synergy
      • Untie Invisigal.
      • Forgive Coupe or Sonar (dependent).
      • Spare Shroud at the end of the episode.

Bad (Antihero) Ending in Dispatch

  1. In this ending, Robert’s choices are less “hero” and more “antihero,” becoming harsher and less idealistic. At the same time, the ending also reflects his relationship with Invisigal; in this ending, Robert didn’t build trust or adequately support her. Thus, in the bad ending, Invisigal chooses to kill Shroud and embrace a life of villainy once and for all. To get this ending:[2]
    • Episode 1 - Pivot
      • Let Toxic drop off the balcony.
      • Attack the reporter at the press event.
      • Douse Flambae with alcohol.
    • Episode 2 - Onboard
      • Tell Invisigal that you told Chase about her disobeying orders.
      • Fail to help Invisigal in the Jewelry Shop.
      • Tell Blonde Blazer that Visi punched you.
    • Episode 3 - Turnover
      • Tell Invisigal to “Take your anger out on him” as she goes to the Jewelry Shop.
      • Fail the hacking sequences in the Jewelry Shop.
      • Tell Blazer that you don’t believe in Invisigal.
    • Episode 5 - Team Building
      • Fail all of the QTE (quick time event) challenges during the bar fight.
      • Don’t the Z-Team that you (Robert) are Mecha Man.
    • Episode 6 - Moving Parts
      • Don’t take Invisigal’s side during the argument at the party.
      • Fail to help Invisigal get the Astral Pulse (by failing the hacking sequences).
    • Episode 7 - Retrospective
      • Cut Invisigal from the team.
      • Tell Invisigal, “You gave me no choice.”
      • Don’t forgive Invisigal, telling her “We’re done” instead.
      • Talk about Invisigal on the news.
    • Episode 8 - Synergy
      • Don’t untie Invisigal.
      • Send Coupe or Sonar (dependent) to jail.

Invisigal Romance Ending in Dispatch

PDF download Download Article
  1. Invisigal and Blonde Blazer are the two romance options for Robert in Dispatch; you can pursue either of them, or neither—and while romances affect your relationships, they don’t control whether you get a good or bad ending. That said, Invisigal’s romance is all about building trust with her, supporting her, and being there for her in crucial moments. Here’s how to get Visi’s romance ending:
    • Episode 2 - Onboard
      • Help Invisigal during her fight in the donut shop by completing every hack successfully.
      • Don’t tell Invisigal that you told Chase about her disobeying orders.
      • Don’t tell Blonde Blazer that Visi punched you.
    • Episode 3 - Turnover
      • Help Visi in the Jewelry Shop by completing all hacking sequences successfully.
    • Episode 4 - Restructure
      • Go to the movies with Invisigal. While you don’t need to do this to get the “good” ending, you DO need to do this for Visi’s romance ending.
      • Tell Invisigal that you “Thought we already were” [friends].
    • Episode 5 - Team Building
      • Tell Invisigal that you had a good time at the movies with her.
    • Episode 6 - Moving Parts
      • Dance with Invisigal at the party (and thank her for helping you).
      • Take Invisigal’s side during the argument at the party.
    • Episode 7 - Retrospective
      • Don’t cut Invisigal from the team, and defend her from the rest of the group.
      • Forgive Invisigal when she tells you the truth.
      • Lean in when Invisigal kisses you in the locker room.
    • Episode 8 - Synergy
      • Untie Invisigal. If you successfully romance Invisigal, Shroud will mention your relationship, and you’ll share a kiss with Visi on the stretcher.

      • You’ll know that you got Blazer’s romance ending if Shroud mentions your relationship at the end, and you share a kiss with Blazer on top of the car later.

No Romance Ending in Dispatch

PDF download Download Article
  1. There’s nothing wrong with going it alone—and if you’d rather Robert fly solo, you can avoid all romantic entanglements with Invisigal and Blonde Blazer throughout the game. Here’s how to get an ending without any romance:
    • Episode 1 - Pivot
      • Don’t kiss Blonde Blazer.
    • Episode 2 - Onboard
      • Don’t ask Blonde Blazer out to dinner.
      • Tell Blazer that your behavior at the interview was a mistake.
    • Episode 3 - Turnover
      • Say “I’m sorry, Blazer” when she talks about her breakup with Phenomaman.
    • Episode 4 - Restructure
      • If you go to dinner with Blazer, don’t kiss her or tell her she looks incredible in the dress.
    • Episode 5 - Team Building
      • If you went to the movies with Invisigal, tell her you can just be friends or that it wasn’t a date.
    • Episode 6 - Moving Parts
      • Tell Chase that your relationship with Invisigal is “strictly professional.”
    • Episode 7 - Retrospective
      • Lean away from Invisigal’s kiss in the locker room.
    • Episode 8 - Synergy
      • Don’t cut Invisigal’s ties.
Section 7 of 8:

Dealing with Shroud in Dispatch

PDF download Download Article
  1. Players can kill or spare Shroud (if Invisigal gets her hero ending). Shroud is the main antagonist throughout Dispatch, and at the end of the final episode, Robert and Shroud end up face-to-face, with Shroud taking Robert’s dog, Beef, hostage. You’ll be forced to either give Shroud the Astral Pulse or give him the Pulse and the prototype; regardless, if you got Invisigal’s good ending, it’ll be up to Robert to either subdue Shroud or end him for good.
    • Spare Shroud - This is the true hero ending for Robert; he’ll beat Shroud, but ultimately allow him to be taken into custody.
    • Kill Shroud - This is Robert’s “antihero” choice, in which he chooses revenge and strangles Shroud to death. He’ll be suspended from work pending an investigation, but the team will still be on his side.
    • Bad Invisigal ending - If Invisigal turns to villainy, you won’t have a choice between sparing or killing Shroud; Invisigal will kill him herself, take his mask, and vanish.

Dealing with Sonar or Coupe in Dispatch

PDF download Download Article
  1. You’ll get the option to cut either Sonar or Coupe from the team in episode 3—and whichever character you choose will end up joining Shroud, becoming an enemy during episode 8. To have a choice when it comes to their ending, you’ll have to defeat Sonar/Coupe and stop them from destroying L.A. These are the two endings:[4]
    • Forgiveness - If you deplete Sonar/Coupe’s health bar and defeat them in dispatches, you’ll be able to forgive them and invite them to rejoin the Z-Team.
    • Arrest - If you want to punish Sonar/Coupe for their actions, you can let the police arrest them. Alternatively, if you fail to defeat Sonar/Coupe, you won’t have a choice; the police will arrest them regardless.
