Find out which apps are using the most cellular data on your iPhone

This wikiHow article teaches you how to check and monitor how much mobile data each app has used during your current or previous billing period.

Quick Steps

  1. Open the Settings app.
  2. Tap Cellular or Mobile Data.
  3. Scroll down to the Cellular Data header.
  4. Check the number under each app to see the data usage for your selected period.

    • This button may appear as Mobile Data if your phone's language is set to British English.

  2. This will display your cellular data usage for the current billing period by default. If you want to see the data for the previous billing period, tap the Last Billing Period tab at the top of the list of apps.
    • By default, the apps will be sorted by the amount of data usage. If you want to easily find a specific app in the list, tap Sort By Name at the top.
  3. Each app will be listed with a number below its name. This is the amount of data each app has used since the start of your selected billing period.
    • To reset these statistics, scroll down to the bottom of the Cellular menu and tap Reset Statistics.
