  1. The Care Bears were created in 1981 to help kids express their feelings. Designed by Elena Kucharik, the original 10 bears featured badges on their bellies that symbolized a particular emotion. In addition to plush toys, the Care Bears appeared in various TV series, including The Care Bears Family (1986-1988), Care Bears: Adventures in Care-a-lot (2007-2008), and Care Bears: Unlock the Magic (2019-present).
